Experience working in a veterinary hospital is preferred.
As a receptionist, your responsibilities will require customer service skills and ability to type and file alphabetically along with using proper grammar and punctuation.
Typing skills are a must for this position.
Duties include but not limited to answering phones on multi line phone system, scheduling appointments for exams and surgeries, checking in and checking out clients/patients, explaining office policies and procedures, cleaning twice daily, as scheduled and when needed in between (clean up accidents when they occur), update patient charts, filing/pulling files for upcoming appointments, maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and your work area, processing payments, order medication refills, and other general office duties.
Experience using general office equipment is necessary.
You must be able to type, have customer service experience, filing alphabetically, explain general office policies and willing and able to learn medications, vaccine protocols, preventative medications, accept and improve from constructive criticism and more.
After a 90 day probation period, you will be offered medical, vision, dental and AFLAC insurance along with an annual uniform allowance and receive discounts on products and services for your personal pets.
You are required to be punctual every day, dependable, and hard working.
Must be willing to accept and improve from constructive criticism and follow office policies at all times.
At the end of you probationary period, you will be given a performance evaluation and potential for a raise.
Starting pay for this position is $14.
00/hour with no previous veterinary experience.
Pay negotiable based on experience.
This position is full time and hours are Monday through Friday 8:
15am - 5:
45pm or 8:
30am - 6:
00pm.
You will get a day off weekly (same day every week) and Saturdays are 7:
30am - 12:
00pm.
Typically every other Saturday.
